Compass Learning — formerly BoardPlusJEE — is a small-batch coaching institute in Ardee City, Gurgaon. We prepare students for JEE Main, JEE Advanced, BITSAT, and Class XI-XII Boards.
Why we started
After years of teaching JEE aspirants — first at established institutes, then one-on-one — we kept noticing the same pattern. Bright students would join large coaching programs full of ambition, and within a few months, many of them quietly stopped keeping up. Not because the material was beyond them, but because nobody noticed when they fell behind.
The sessions were too large. The teachers too rushed. The focus on finishing the syllabus too aggressive. Students learned to fake understanding so they wouldn't be singled out. By the time the weak spots showed up — often on a test close to the exam — it was too late to fix them properly.
Compass Learning is the coaching we wished those students had had. Small batches. Mentors who teach every session themselves. Weekly tests where weak spots show up early, not late. Genuine interest in each student's arc — not just their cohort's statistics.
What we believe
Understanding first
We'd rather a student solve ten problems deeply than a hundred superficially. Concepts learned properly the first time don't need to be re-learned.
Discipline over drama
Exam preparation isn't a sprint of last-minute cram sessions. It's a year of consistent, unshowy work. We build the routine that makes that possible.
Feedback, early
Regular tests, same-day doubts, and quiet course corrections. Problems caught in October are fixable. Problems caught in March are not.
Every student is known
Two mentors, small batches. We know each student's weak spots, pace, and temperament — and we teach accordingly.
Who Compass is for
Students who want to understand, not just cram. Students whose schools aren't enough but who don't want the pressure of coaching factories. Class XI, Class XII, and Droppers who are serious about JEE Main, JEE Advanced, or BITSAT.
