This is an intramolecular free radical bromination reaction. The alkene undergoes addition of HBr in the presence of peroxide (anti-Markovnikov addition). The bromine radical abstracts a hydrogen from the most substituted carbon (tertiary position), and then the resulting radical attacks the double bond intramolecularly to form a five-membered ring. The bromine then adds to the more stable tertiary carbocation position, giving the product shown in option (C).
