Solution

In steady state, no current flows through the capacitor branch, so the full current flows through the 100 Ω resistor. The voltage across the 100 Ω resistor is found using the voltage divider rule:

V_{100Ω} = \frac{10}{R + r} \times R = \frac{10}{110} \times 100 = \frac{100}{11} V

The charge stored in the capacitor equals:

q = C V_{100Ω} = (1.1 \times 1 0^{- 6}) \times \frac{100}{11} = 10 \times 1 0^{- 6} C = 10 μ C

Answer: 10
