Solution

The circuit shows a parallel combination of 10 Ω and 5 Ω resistors in series with two 5 Ω resistors.

Current through the 10 Ω resistor (using current divider):

i_{1} = \frac{5}{10 + 5} \times 15 mA = 5 mA

Current through the 5 Ω parallel resistor:

i_{2} = 15 - 5 = 10 mA

Total current through the series resistors:

i = 15

mA

Potential difference:

V_{A} - V_{B} = 5 i + 10 i_{1} + 10 i = 5 (15) + 10 (5) + 10 (15) = 75 + 50 + 150 = 275 V
